Thanking Friends & Visitors

by The Spinning Guy

I’m probably long remiss in thanking those who visit my site and send their visitors my direction. Building community through the internet is a two-way street and while I like to limit my fixed links and blogroll, I think it is important to mention other sites from time to time.

Therefore, today’s post is a list of sites I’m reading and those reading my site.

Some years ago, at a fiber festival, I had a really nice chat with some folks from Wild Fibers Magazine. I really enjoyed myself. At the time, I had a house full of unread alpaca magazines, limited time, and a minimal budget. Now that I’m employed and out of the daily alpaca care business, I will consider subscribing to the magazine. Please visit them and check it out. If you find them at a show, stop and talk. They’re really nice and interesting people.

Melanie of Dandelion Spinnery works with a lot of alpaca fiber. She made some really nice comments about my blog last summer and it’s high time I recognize her. Now, if I can only get the blog back up to speed and start writing as well as when she left those comments …

The color in Jess’ recent post at The Fiber Fetishist is quite something! It’s very bright – I like it and I think the two colorways are being combined very effectively.

Rita’s Wheels Go Round blog tugs at my heart in so many ways. She’s in the process of moving her alpaca farm from France to England which reminds me of my own move in so many ways. In addition, Rita enjoys bicycling and while I haven’t been on a bicycle in several years, I’m a former ultradistance cyclist and there was a time in my life when I lived to ride my bike. Best of luck on that move, Rita. I know it’s tough.

Thanks to all who visit, comment, and link. Enjoy your fiber and your internet.
