Wisconsin Sheep & Wool, September 2023, Jefferson, WI. This is a busy show with very heavy traffic at times. My booth was busy. Yarn was fondled. People tried the wheel. New display extensions for the shawls worked.

All yarn in the booth is my handspun. All knit items are my work, but some use commercial yarn. Those batts in the back are dyed by The Spinning Guy and drum carded.

Michigan Fiber Festival, August 2023, Jefferson, WI. I think I have a new favorite fiber festival -- or I would if I didn't need to drive through Chicago to get there. Allegan County Fairgrounds is a beautiful venue with mature oak trees and vendors around every corner. It's a very pleasant show and I've never heard attendees say so many good things about the classes at a show. This is a relatively relaxed fiber festival with attendees present for the experience and the atmosphere. The energy is very different from Shepherd's Harvest or Wisconsin Sheep & Wool, but I think it's a great event and I really enjoyed the show as a vendor.

Shepherd's Harvest, May 2023, Lake Elmo, MN. One of my favorite Sheep and Wool shows because of the energy. Great crowd left me very tired by the end of the show. Great fun. Lots of traffic on the second spinning wheel with some returning from last year to try again. Great people in the booths around me. Fun show!

Great Midwest Alpaca Festival, April 2023, Madison, WI. This alpaca show features a small vendor area at the back of the hall. Booth was a nominal 16x4, but I pushed forward into the aisle to allow access to the electrical panels behind my booth. The crowd was small but interested and interesting. Interest in trying the second spinning wheel was so good I lost my voice by the end of the show. All yarn in the booth is my handspun. All knit items are my knitting, though some knit items are from commercial yarn.

Shepherd's Harvest, May 2022, Lake Elmo, MN. Shepherd's harvest is a sheep and wool festival. I chose to feature yarn in the booth and I offered carded batts for the first time. Shawls and finished goods are basically examples with price tags. Second spinning wheel in the booth for visitors to try was very successful with a mixture of children and adults. Expanded part-way into an adjacent booth due to no-show. All inventory in the booth is my handspun. All knitting is my work.

Madison Knitting Guild, Knit-In, Middleton, WI, March 2002. This is a yarn and knitting focused event. I chose to focus on yarn in the booth. The second spinning wheel in the booth for visitors was successful with almost all users being adults. This is the only event I've ever done where adults were more interested trying the wheel than children. Shawls in the booth are examples with price tags. They served as a great draw for booth traffic. All yarn in the booth is my handspun. All knit items are my knitting.

General craft show. competing with a full spectrum of crafts, many at lower prices. Due to the nature of the event, the focus is on selling finished goods and also selling hand spun yarn as gifts for knitters. All yarn for sale in the booth is my handspun. All knit items are my knitting. Most knit items made from my handspun. Moderate success with booth visitors trying the second wheel, mostly children. Much interest in the spinning process as I demonstrated in the booth.

Various outdoor craft shows in the summer of 2021. Great learning experience. Mixed craft events with varied audience. Some success with booth visitors trying the wheel. All yarn in the booth is my handspun. All knit items in the booth are my knitting -- mostly using my handspun.

Some events were fundraisers for a working dog training group and dogs were encouraged at those events. My dog is present only at those events that welcomed/encouraged dogs. I respect pet venue pet restrictions and I understand the conflict between strange dogs and livestock.
